Integrative Restoration (iRest) is a deeply relaxing meditation practice that offers you “tools for life” that enable you to rise above stress, anxiety, fear, and pain. Through a series of 30-40 minute guided meditations, body sensing, and breath awareness techniques, you’ll learn how to release negative emotions and thought patterns, calm your nervous system, and develop a greater sense of well-being.
Based on the ancient meditation practice of Yoga Nidra or “conscious sleep”, iRest uses deep relaxation, breathing and meditation to systematically reduce physical, emotional, and mental pain. iRest invites you to discover a sense of peace that is always present, regardless of your life circumstances.
Lara began her studies in Eastern healing practices specifically yoga, mindfulness and meditation in 1999. In 2001 she graduated from Columbia University where she received dual Masters degrees in Psychological Counseling.
In 2005, Lara began to deepen her studies in several mind body healing modalities. She is now an Advanced Practitioner of Somatic Experiencing® and Integrative Restoration®. As a certified Integrative Yoga Therapist (RYT 500), Lara helps people understand the correlation between dis-ease and nutrition, thought patterns, emotions, stress, and unresolved childhood wounds. She specializes is stress management, trauma, anxiety and depression. She is an active member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists.
