The San Diego Healing Arts Festival is Southern California’s premiere health and wellness fair, bringing the best in live music together with a fun, accessible arena for participants to experience integrative healing arts. Produced as a benefit and health education campaign for the non-profit Alternative Healing Network, this event features National headliners and local musicians along with over 100 exhibitors with yoga classes, product and service demonstrations, educational speakers/ lecturers, direct health services and more.  The Healing Arts Festival has grown exponentially from a community fair with 2,500 attendees to a true “Festival” with over 30,000 participants.

The Alternative Healing Network is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that promotes the use of integrative healing arts and improves access to alternative health care in under-served neighborhoods. We coordinate weekly “Integrative Health Nights” in under-served neighborhoods of San Diego, offering free massage, acupuncture, chiropractic, energy healing, yoga, and nutrition classes for those whom otherwise, would not have access to care.

In 2008, we opened Adams Avenue Integrative Health, a “sliding-scale” wellness facility, offering “alternative” health care at affordable prices. All proceeds from this center go towards funding our free community clinics and outreach events. As the success of this wellness center grew, we decided to move our Healing Arts Festival into the same neighborhood and developed a partnership with the Adams Avenue Business Association to co-host their annual Roots Fest on Adams. The Roots Fest has been a San Diego tradition for 38 years, highlighting the roots and traditions of music, which blends perfectly with our focus on the roots and traditions of wellness.  Now in our second year of this partnership, our Healing Arts Fest on Adams has expanding to take over an entire baseball field for the main stage with a street fair covering over 5 city blocks around it!
