If for any reason you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we ask for 24 hours notice or you may be charged a $30 fee for that appointment. If treatments have been purchased in a package, the missed appointment may be deducted from the number remaining. If an emergency arises and you must cancel within 24 hours, and you call to explain the situation, we may allow you a one time “free pass” for last minute-cancellation. This will be at the discretion of the practitioner to determine. Thank you for your understanding.

Since several people are being treated in the same room at once, it is vital that we work together to respect your privacy and the privacy of others. Your intake will be done in a soft voice and there will be ambient music in the background to drown out the discussion of any sensitive issues. Let us know if there are certain topics that need extra discretion or if you prefer to do your intake in a more private setting. If you happen to overhear someone else’s private information, please keep it to yourself. You’d want others to do the same for you.
We are happy to accept American Specialty Health (ASH) for acupuncture and massage. You may have ASH coverage and not know it, as it is often an add-on to many other health plans such as Kaiser and Cigna. Please call your insurance company to verify you have coverage. If you have ASH benefits for acupuncture or massage, we will need to verify benefits in advance of your initial treatment, which can take up to 48 hours. Please be sure to mention your ASH benefits when booking your first session with us. We do not work with ASH for chiropractic or naturopathic medical services. We are sorry for this inconvenience.
Unfortunately, most other insurance companies are not set-up to accept “Sliding Scale” fee structures. They only work with definite costs for services rendered. For this reason, we are unable to accept insurance in most cases. We apologize for the inconvenience. We ARE able to provide you with a “Superbill” or detailed list of services. Many carriers now accept Superbills. You would have to pay the full amount due at the time of your treatment, but then could be reimbursed from your provider, if they accept these. Please check with your insurance company in advance to see if they accept “Superbills”.
Adams Avenue Integrative Health charges for all treatments on a sliding scale with the highest being our “Reasonable & Customary” rates. What you pay is based on your self-reported income level. We offer discounted rates to anyone making less than $45,000 / year. There is NO income verification required. We understand that everyone’s situation is different.
