Alternative Healing Network

Volunteer

– Helping Yourself, Helping Others —

Volunteering is the practice of working on behalf of others without being motivated by financial or material gain. Volunteering is an altruistic activity, intended to promote good or improve human quality of life.  One of the biggest benefits people get from volunteering is the satisfaction of incorporating service into their lives and making a difference in their community and country. The intangible benefits alone—such as pride, satisfaction and accomplishment—are worthwhile reasons to serve.

We at the Alternative Healing Network invite you to find a few hours to serve fellow citizens and join us on our quest of sharing Integrative Healthcare through our Free Thursday Night Community Outreach Clinics, Our fun and educational events or at our Community-Style Integrative Health Center on Adams Ave in Normal Heights.

We are presently seeking Volunteers for a variety of positions including:

- Grant Writer
- Media Relations / Publicity
- Bookkeeping / Accounting

Benefits of Volunteering

~ Wellness Benefits: by volunteering with organizations whose main focus is educating the general public and making them aware of alternative, preventative and integrative health options you contribute to the all around wellness of your community.

~ Individual Career Benefits: graduates can meet people and gain work experience through volunteering, and, it helps school students for scholarships knowing well that the judges are impressed when a resume lists volunteer work. Definitely a boost for your career options.
